Jackass Forever is a 2022 American reality slapstick comedy film directed and produced by Jeff Tremaine. The film stars the original jackass cast members Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy. The film follows the traditional Jackass formular and dangerous and disgusting stunts aimed at each other. Jackass Forever is a hilarious entry in Jackass saga and acts as a fitting send-off for the Jackass crew.

The direction of the film is good. The film opens of a hilarious Kiaju movies tribute although saying anymore about the opening will spoil it. Let’s just say it’s very funny and sets the tone of the film nicely. The film is hilarious throughout. Although I don’t really want to spoil the film by talking about specific scenes as I feel that would ruin the experience a lot of Jackass Forever which is hilarious with one sequence involving a bear being genuinely intense. The mood of the film is hilarious the film has some great crazy stunts and set pieces that really feel like Jackass. There is also an element of sentimental nostalgia to this film. This this being the final Jackass and these people being older and closing chapter of the saga there is a nice sense of a final ending to this film. As always with Jackass the style of the film is hilarious all sorts of crazy with all shorts of crazy and painful stunts the pain threshold of the Jackass cast is genially impressive.

What’s great about jackass Forever is that the cast really throws themselves into these stunts. Knoxville, Steve-O and the rest of the Jackass crew still really throw themselves at these stunts despite their age is really impressive and goes to show the level of commitment they have with this franchise. All the new cast are all good and get put through the ringer as well. The film acts as a good potential passing of the touch from the old cast to the new. Although I’m not sure if I can envision Jackass without the traditional crew its nice to know that the franchise can continue to some degree.

For this movie the Jackass crew really decided to go all out. Despite their age they are still willing to really put their bodies through the ringer is generally impressive. There is defiantly something very nostalgic about Jackass Forever. Throughout the film they bring on newer and younger members of the Jackass crew to do certain stunts. This again feeds into the nostalgic elements of the film as if the old members are now passing the torch to the new members within the franchise. There is defiantly something sentimental about Jackass Forever as if you’re watching all your friends that you did dumb stuff with as a kid grow up and become adults.

The Cinematography in the film is good. As with all the Jackass films there are some genuinely impressive of camera work, this is most apparent with the Godzilla tribute that is utterly hilarious and with an intentionally cinematic quality. All the rest of the stunts in the film are shot in a way where you can clearly see what is going on with a good use of slow motion and extreme close ups highlighting all the pain these people go through in the film.

The stunts in the film are all genially impressive. The amount of crazy stuff that happens in the film is completely insane. What the Jackass crew are willing to put themselves through to make this film is honestly impressive. The stunt work with all the different dangerous circumstances that they get themselves into for the proposes of entertainment is truly part of why Jackass is so great.

Overall Jackass Forever is a fun, funny film that acts as a fitting send off for the Jackass crew. Those that don’t like Jackass won’t have their minds changed by this film. But as someone who is a fan of Jackass, I won’t it to be a hilarious and fitting conclusion to the Jackass saga.
