The direction in the show is good. The cast in the show is relatively small witch allows them to have a good relationship to one another creating an intimate feel and an entertaining story. The mood of the show is fun and entertaining. The seirs very much feels like a video game with it being over the top and crazy like a video game series. The style of the show is over the top and crazy feeling very much like video game with a heavy stylised feel to it.
The acting in the show is good. Hayley Atwell does a good job as Lara Craft an adventures woman searching for tombs and artefacts. Allen Maldonado does a good job as Zip Lara’s friend and sassy tech expert. Earl Baylon does a good job as Jonah Maiava a friend of Lara. Richard Armitage does a good job as Charles Devereaux a mercenary that wants to defeat a group called the light. Zoe Boyle does a good job as Camilla Roth Lara’s childhood friend. Roxana Ortega does a good job as Abby Ortiz Jonah’s fiancée. Nolan North does a good job as Conrad Roth Lara’s deceased mentor.
The writing in the show is good. The show is a crazy over the top series that plays into the pulpy action of the series. The series very much feels like a video games witch action set pieces that feels like sequences form the franchise. The show is pulpy action orientated fun and again very much feels like the video games. The cinematography in the show is good. The show makes the action sequences pop as the series feels very dynamic and stylised which works with the video game franchise. The animation in the show is good. The show is well animated and has a style that works for the francize. The show has a sort of anime-esc feel to it which again works with the over-the-top pulpy action of the film.
