Infinity Pool is a 2023 science fiction horror film written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg starring Alexander Skarsgard, Mia Goth, and Cleopatra Coleman. The film follows a struggling writer and his wife on a vacation who after an incident discover the country can make cones of themselves. Infinity Pool is an enjoyable film a weird surreal gory sci-fi film with light body horror elements.

The direction in the film is good. All the actors have good chemistry with one another. They all act in a weird off kilter way adds to the surrealness and makes sense in a film surrounding duplicates. The mood in the film is a dark and ominous but also surreal. The dystopian nature of the film also allows the film to create a unique world. The style of the film is unique it has a weird surreal dystopian style that works in the film.

The acting in the film is good Alexander Skarsgard does a good job as James Foster. He plays a writing coming to the resort to relax and work on his new book. His transformation in the film to normal to villain is great. Mia Goth does a good job as Gabi Bauer playing a genuinely crazy person and acts as the main villain. Cleopatra Coleman does a good job as Em Foster James wife who is the only normal person in the film and is freaked out at the whole thing.

The cinematography in the film in great. There is. Some great bits of the film with interesting camera work that adds to the surrealism. The use of lighting in the film is great and very colourful adding to the surrealism. Th rest of the camerawork is solid making all the scenes easy to follow.

The special effects in the film are good. There is a good use of gore that is well done. Lots of the imagery involving body doubles is good and looks convincing. all the surrealist and technological ecstatic is well done and feel natural in the world.

Overall Infinity Pool is a good film. It’s weird surreal sci-fi body horror elements allows the film to be a interesting and enjoyable horror film.
