When the consequent moral panic culminates in the United States declaring war on Canada, Stan, Kyle and Cartman take it upon themselves to save Terrance and Phillip from execution, while Kenny tries to prevent a prophecy involving Satan and Saddam Hussein’s intent to conquer the world. South Park: bigger, Longer & Uncut is a film that reflects America’s stance on censorship and the dangers of scapegoating.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is a parody of muscles. The film starts with Stan and then all their friends going to school set to a Disney like musical number setting up a lot of the plot points of the film. the film sets up Kenny going to hell and meeting Satan, Kyle having an adopted Canadian brother and his mum worrying about them and the world, Cartman being an arse and Sadam Husain being dead. All the kids go to the movies and see the Terrance and Philip movie which they can’t get into as its R rated and has language, which is a meta textual narrative of the south park movie. The Terrence and Philip movie is an exaggeration of the South Park movie like the Terrence and Philip TV is an exaggeration of the South Park TV show. Both products are dismissed as being low brow but it accuracy reflects Americans stance on censorship. This is shown when in the film they are exposed to swearing and fart jokes with the film as the uncle fucker song plays with influences showcasing a parody of musicals. The film shows that the fact that they have seen the film and are swearing gives them credibility at school. Stan and Wendy also has a song that is a Disney parody song. The boys get in trouble for swearing at school in a scene that escalates the parents and teachers are angry. They say Tarence and Philip are untalented actors from Canada that rely on swearing and toilet humour and they warn parents about it. Cartman then sarcastically says the movie has warped his fragile little mind. Stan meanwhile is on a quest to find the clitoris. The film comments on the effects of media effecting children to swear. The PTA try and ban the film which is intended for children. The Canadians argue that the US has graphic violence on TV all the time and they find swearing offence, as Shelia says it has a damage on children. This showcases the meta textual narrative as the Canadians reflect the films stance of censorship and how people are about things that are not important and talk about taking accountability all while scapegoating. The song its easy Mackey is a parody of film help children’s songs in the style of sesame street where they are told not to swear. The ultimately irony of the film is that after they are used, they go straight back to watching the Terrance and Philip movie. This show that the kids want to be exposed to new and adult forms of entertainment.

Kenny ends up lighting a fart on fire and burns alive as a parody of the fear of children acting out violent acts they see in media. Kenny ends up dying as their parents come in chastising them for seeing the film and ground them. This demonstrates a theme in the film that humans care about things that are not important whist a child has died. The song little boy you’re going to hell shows Kenny going to hell because he didn’t go to church and was acting recklessly but also his only here because he sore a film with swearing and toilet humour. The parents criticise the violent and dirty nature of entertainment in the blame candida song. This shows scapegoating as they blame things that are not important instead of taken accountability for their children showcasing fear mongering. The kids watch Terrence and Philip on the Conan O’ Brian show. They showcase their immature humour and swear as M.A.C arrests them, as Conan who showcases in on it feels guilt and jumps from a window to his death. Their arrest reflects American’s stance on censorship in how they want certain things censored. This shows that parents refuse to take accountability to their children’s actions in what they watch. They use things like south park as scapegoating to ignore the real problems. The Canadian ambassador talks to the Americans about realising Terrence and Philip and not censoring their art, dignity, and respect but all they do is laugh at their accents. This lack of care reflects America wanting the censor art for their own gain. They refuse to take accountability for the next generation and instead want war they use scapegoating to other factors instead of blaming themselves.

Canada bombs and kills all the Baldwins. This shows humans care about things that are not important over thing that are like celebrity deaths. This censorship also shown with the mums censoring the teacher. The Tv says they are at war with Canada and that the war criminals Terrence and Philip will be executed as Shelia is now the minister of defence saying they will go to war. This war shows that people are more about things that arrent important like offence humour rather than things that are like war. He uses scapegoating to blame others for their own actions. Kenny meets Satan and Sadarn Hussain who are in a gay relationship with Sudan not caring for him. Kyle’s mum is the cause of this, as the US thinks it can censor and control and kill Canadian citizens which is a war crime the kids don’t care as Wendy talks about freedom of speech and censorship. Kyles’s mum is at fault here with the Cartman song Kyle’s mum’s a bitch as she wants to censor and scapegoat and to take accountability. Cartman has a V chip inserted into him that shocks him when he swears making him not swear by force. From this Cartman is literally censored when they implement him with a swearing censoring V chip like A Clockwork Orange to cure violent crime to society swearing is as bad as rape and murder. There is a parody of a war propaganda bulletin is shown stating the US is going to war with Canada as all Canadians are rounded up and put into death/happy camps where it shows the finest meals with is slop, fabulous doctors showing a tooth being pulled out and being able the excise regally showing ditches being dug. The film then also shown that the war criminals Terrence and Philip are being repaired for execution at the USO show. showing that they are using them as a sacrificial lamb a scapegoat.

South Park grows in anti-Canadian hate destroying everything Canadian censoring a nations art, they refuse to take accountability and instead escape goat as a cause of their problems. As Cartman gets shocked for swearing he is literally censored. Kyle tries to talk to his mum, but she doesn’t listen as she says they must fight for their children. Again, the film criticises adults not taking accountability for their children and instead go to war, they use scapegoating to not deal with their own issues and instead blame a common enemy. They song what would Brain Boitano do talking about. Censorship and waging a war without reason as they decide to free Terence and Phillip from censorship. Terrence and Philip being put to death is the seventh sign that will make Satan rise and take over the world. This shows the dangers of censorship in how certain expression can lead to horrible things. There is a great irony of Cartman’s mum being in favour of censorship but is also an actress in a scat porn video on the internet. The kids wish to overthrow the adults as the US. Are attacking Canada. The parents are scapegoating as they are not caring about these things or taking accountability and instead blame a common enemy. Kenny as a ghost also warns Cartman about Satan and Saddam Hussein. Satan and Saddam have a relationship were Satan wants more but Saddam just wants. The I Want to be up Their song is about him wanting to be on earth having a different life. The kids have a meeting. Kyle, Stan and Cartman just want to do a stupid prank, but Gregory shows them a plan to break out Terence and Philip, however Stan and the others decide to be the ones to breakout Terrence and Philip.

The black first wave of the army is called operation human shield. This shows that humans care about things that are not important over the things that are as shown with celebrity deaths in the film, which is given more importance over the deaths of black people going to war. The film states the need for parents to take accountability for their children and use human life as a scapegoat. The La Resistance song is a parody of musicals that mixes several musical numbers together. Saddam just wants to have sex and Satan is ultimately in a relationship where Saddam doesn’t care about him as Kenny tells him he has to leave. Ike hides in the loft parodying the Jews hiding from the Nazis. The boys then meet the mole and break Terence and Philip out. Satan then tells Saddam that they are breaking up and he is ruling earth alone but after the I can change song Saddam miniplates Satan to stay with him. the parents sate that they are abolishing Canadian smut and that this is a great day for democracy as the strap Terrence and Philip to the electric chair. This shows Americans views of censorship is to crush individuality. The film shows a society were swearing is worse than rape and murder. The adults care about the unimportance of dirty language instead of taking accountability for their actions and by going to war they are scapegoating.

Shelia’s quote “Horrific deplorable violence is ok as long as nobody uses any naughty words that is what this war is all about” showcases the hypocrisy of censorship. Winona Ryder is shown seemly firing ping pong balls out of her vagina. However, it is the revealed that she is just sitting down hitting ping pong balls. This s a satire of censorship and explicit content with seemly offence content is shown not be offence at all. The when you gay song is a satire about the horrors of war but he and by extension nobody else cares as his gay and super. Kenny’s ghost warns him about Satan and Saddam Hussein as Cartman runs away scared leaving the alarm on. As the mole gets found out he tries to escape by the tunnel but gets mauled to death by the guard dogs and dies. Kyle must stand up to his mother, as the kids go up to their parents however Kyle can’t bring himself to tell his mum leading Stan to do it. The Canadians attack as the kids free Terence and Philip. They have created war zone. This satire shows the danger of having a society were swearing is as bad as rape and murder. Humanity does not care about important things there for they go to war over taking responsibility to their children. Scapegoating is used to make other things the issue other than putting the blame at the feet of the induvial. Stan finds the clitoris saying not to let Terrence and Philips blood being spilled. The human shield gets out the way letting the white people die form the Canadian missiles as the black soldiers get out the way letting the white soldiers to die. The white soldiers dying shows a criticism of humans not caring about things that are important over things that aren’t important. As the pentanal deaths of these black soldiers is seemly more important over taking accountability for the children. The parents minus Sheila wake up to the war and devastation caused by censorship, scapegoating and not taking accountability for their actions. The kids make a human shield around Terrence and Philip as they say this is a bout freedom of speech and censorship. Kyle states Sheila should talk to her son about it, blame him instead of everyone else. He doesn’t want to fight a bunch of causes he wants his mum.

This drives of the message of the film is that is important to take accountability of your children instead of blaming other sources. This shows that danger of scapegoating and just blindly blaming something that can have dire consequences. Shelia can’t accept this and kills Terrence and Philip unleashing Satan and Saddam Hussein unto the earth. She was just trying to make a better world for children but brought enough intolerance to the world to allow for the second coming of Saddam Hussein. Cartman’s V chip malfunctions, allowing him to shoot lightning form his body whilst swearing as he electrocutes Saddam Hussein. This showcases the power and need for freedom of speech and expression as this brow art has great importance to criticise the bad things in the world shown with cartman using swearing to defeat Saddam Hussein. Satan finally gets enough of Saddam, standing up for himself he sends him back to hell impaling him on a rock killing him. Satan realises that he was gaslighted into an abusive relationship but was freed by Kenny. In return he grants him the wish of putting everything before the war as he leaves with Mr Hat. The film ends with everyone waking up alive as Kenny gets sent to heaven.

South Park: bigger, Longer & Uncut is a film about the dangers of censorship and scapegoating and the need for freedom of speech and expression in the world.
