The series is set in 1997 where Malcom Lee develops Kokoro a AI system to defended against Skynet, as the day before judgement day Lee finds himself and in his three children perused by a terminator and a solider from the year 2022 that has been sent to protect them. Terminator Zero is a fun, intense, interesting series that any fan of the terminator franchise will love.
The direction in the series is good. The series as a small cast of characters that works well for the show. This allows every character to be clearly defined and interesting within the series and their dynamics with an another within this tight nit group of characters is a major straight to the show. The way they playoff on one another and their interpersonal relationships is a great part of the series. The mood of the show is series. The series has a dark oppressive feel befitting the terminator series. Everything careers a weight to it, and it feels as if the characters are living through hell. Despite this there is a positive feeling as well of humanity and machine working together and being at peace. The series style is dark with a clear sci-fi ecstatic. The anime feels terminator with it post-apocalyptic world and sci-fi elements combining to make a anime that feel like it captures the spirit of the series perfectly.
The acting in the show is good. Andre Holland does a good job as Malcom Lee the scientist that develops an Ai to compete with Skynet. Sonoya Mizuno a soldier sent back to protect Malcom and his kids and stop the AI from being activated. Sumalee Montano does a good job as Miaki Malcom’s housekeeper who is protective of the kids. Armani Jackson does a good job as Kenta Lee Malcom’s eldest son. Gideon Adlon does a good job as Reika Lee Malcom’s daughter. Carter Rockwood does a good job as Hiro Lee Malcom’s younger son. Rosario Dawson does a good job as Kokoro a AI developed by Malcom Lee to counter Skynet. Timothy Olyphant does a good job as The Terminator sent back in time to kill Malcom.
The writing in the film is good. The series is fun and exciting making for an entertaining sci-fi an action film. the film using its item travel to delve into the series themes of fate in how people can change the past to create a better future. The series is dark with the idea of an incoming storm with a dark sci-fi world in the future were machines kill man as the show counties in creating a series dramatic though line in the franchise. The film shows good action in the film as the film is a good entertaining sci-fi action franchise. The series is also entraining making for a fun sci-fi romp. The film also has similar themes to the Terminator films with the film being about the fears and anxieties of technology. The shows and series them are about how destiny can be changed by people and how an equilibrium between man and machine is better for all than the simple idea of the machines being bad from previous film. The cinematography in the show is decent. The show looks good eventing is looking good within the show and creates a good gritty sci-fi feel. The shows animation is good the anime look of the show is done feel and fits the dark gritty sci-fi ecstatic of terminator well in the show.
Terminator Zero is the best instalment to the series since Terminator 2 and reinvigorates the franchise into a great dark gritty sire that any an of the first two terminator films will love.
