Fight Iczer One is a 1985 Sci-Fi anime OVA series written and directed by Toshiki Hirano. The series follows Iczer-1 an alien that needs to stop an invasion of earth form the alien Cthuwulf by finding her parameter on earth to help her. Fight Iczer One is a fun entertaining over the top anime that any old school anime fan would love. The direction of the series is good. There is a good moody at atmosphere to it which complements the 80s anime style well. The series has cool body horror elements to it combined with a sleazy anime style with imagery such as naked lesbians. The series has a classic anime opening with a schoolgirl slice of life being shown at the begging, as the series mixes this with violent sci-fi horror. The series has classic anime character design. The sequence with the bouncing ball is particularly intense as the blue light gives off a creepy otherworldly feel. The back of the girl’s head is then exposed to reveal an alien creatures’ mouth as Iczer watches this the girl wakes up from her dream. The series has an interesting mix of sci-fi body horror and schoolgirl slice of life, as the series hasa body snatchers vibe to it with it being a body horror sci fi anime. The film has a very classic anime ecstatic with the magical girl meeting the sci-fi warrior, as the series has a cool otherworldly sci-fi horror style mixed with classic 80s sci-fi action, as well as body horror also mixed with this classic anime ecstatic. There is cool ecstatic to the series with their ship looking like a HR Giger design as there is cool imagery with the villain looking like a baby in a ball, as the series has a surreal other worldly horror feel to it. The series nudity also demonstrates the sleazy style, the subspace has a cool surreal otherworldly feel to it and seems very MC Escher inspired. The series has good use of classic anime troupes with the evil robot as the girls’ parents are taken over by aliens giving a body horror feel. The light sabers in the series also has an 80s anime as well as a cool sleazy aesthetics like lesbianism. The 80s anime feel is also shown with the giant robots as well as the sleaze of Nagisa being naked inside of it. Although she defeats the robot it is not presented as overly happy, as the series has an epic feeling to it but also a menacing tone like it’s the end of the world. The series has a very classic anime feel with its characters as well as a weird surreal feel to it. The series mixes body horror with a classic anime style to create something unique. The series has a good creepy horror tone to it as well as being a magical girl seirs mixed with body horror. There is lots of classic anime troupes to the series like a Mecha vs magical girl lightsaber fight as well as cool anime imagery with Iczer 2’s floating head. The series is a cool gory body horror anime with an 80s feel. The fight scenes are both surreal as well as a classic anime fight scene, the subspace scene in the series turns into a ninja style anime showing a grassy field where they fight. The series has a great body horror looking monsters, as well aa a good them in the film of Nagisa learning to be strong throughout the film. The series also has interesting sci-fi elements to it with telepathic headsets and robots fighting role with lightsabres which have a classic anime style to it. The series has an interesting mix of body horror and magical girl anime, as the series very much has a cool 80s anime feel with giant robot fights. The series has an epic sci-fi feel to it and has a sort of cosmic horror vibe. The series is a mecha anime with a good sense of epicenes and doom. There is also good tension between Nagisa and Icazar one over potential killing a child as well as big gold which is presented as a cosmic horror. The relationship between Nagisa and Icazar 1 grows as gid gold the mother is a cosmic horror foetus. The series has a gritty war feel as the film has sci fi horror with hentai like tentacles bursting out. The film has a mecha anime feel with a cheesy anime tone and style. A mecha and body horror format is used for the villains’ designs. When possessed Nagisa fights Iczar 1 there is a haunting feeling that she is still there. There is an 80s epic anime feel with the fight scenes as there is a sadness to Iczar 2’s death. There is a cool other worldly look and feel to big gold looking like a foetus in a bubble like a HR Giger artwork. The film ends with Iczer 1 having human emotions and leaving earth to return the earth to how it was. Nagisa wakes up a normal girl like nothing happens as she runs into Iczer 1 who is emotional despite her not recognising her as she leaves earth to go off to her own planet. The acting in the film is good. Wendee Swan does a good job a Iczar the main alien hero of the film. Luna Celeste does a good job as Nagisa Kanou a avenge schoolgirl that becomes a hero. Toni Chander and Sam strong does a god job as Sir Violet. Doug Stone odes a good job as Big Gold the main villain of the film. Maureen O’Connell does a good job Colbat a villain alien in the film. Bambi Preston does a good job as Sepia. Mari Devon does a good job a Iczer 2v a villain in the film. Allison Weintraub does a good job as Sayoko. Lily Drowne and Barry Stiler do a good job as Mr and Mrs Kano. The writing in the film is good. The film has a good use of tension and body horror. The main villain of the film is a lesbian alien and tires to destroy earth witch Iczer 1 trying to protect earth and find a partner there. The film shows the protagonist Nagasa a schoolgirl that is talking to someone in her head which is a classic anime troupe. These voices in her head link to a sort of destiny with a dream sequence where a girl’s head is shown as a body horror like creature in which a voice guides her like a sort of destiny. The film is an interesting mix of sci-fi body horror and slice of life, as the students in the school get taken over by aliens. Nagisa seemly falls to her death before she is saved by Izcar One as she is understandably freaked out and scared, as she gets sucked into a voiced where there are monsters until Izcar one saves her. The villain is sort of androgynous with them being female looks with a male voice as Nagisa must synchronise with Izcer One for her powers to come back and they must eliminate them. Nagasa then wakes up thinking it was all a dream as Izcar One is trapped in subspace as here parents have been taken over by aliens. Iczer one then defeats the alien who dies in a body horror way with themes of lesbianism. Nagasa is understandably angry at Iczer One as she inadvertently let her parents die and slaps her, as big mecha fight happens showcasing classic anime actions as this is a film against aliens and humans at it shows humans can be destroyed. Nagasa is a kind of whiny and annoying protagonist as Iczer 1 find her inside the robot to fight. The film has classic anime style, which is an over-the-top fight scene, as Iczer 1 uses Nagisa’s dead parents to guilt trip her into making her fight. She defeats the robot as the villain. From her defeat as Nagisa cries in Iczer’s arms, as the alien spaceship comes down to invade earth to try and destroy Iczer One as Iczer two says she will avenge the villain’s death. Iczer tells Nagisa she put her in the robot to save her, but she says she doesn’t want to fight as she only fought due to her emotions, as earth works on an alien invasion. The villain mourns her friend’s death as the villain vowless to destroy iczar One adding emotion to the villain as Nagisa’s bracelet protects her from the body horror transformed cop. Nagisa hates the fact that she has a destiny in all of this as when she finds a woman who is collapsed on her ground with child yelling at her she decides to act. The film has a mecha vs magical girl lightsabre fight as Iczer 2 is a floating head that uses her mecha to fight the hero’s. Nagisa saves a woman and her child whose dad transformed as there is some heart to the film as the aliens attacks the robot. The film has a good 80s feel to it as the spaceship fighter destroys the monsters. Iczer One fights the robots and the aliens then attack Nagisa and the mum character. Nagisa finally decides to fight and blows them monster away with her sci-fi bracelet, as the series has a classic anime style fight as Iczer One destroys the robot with her light saber. It is revealed that Iczer One and Iczer Two are sisters as they engage in a lightsabre fight as the girl’s family turns into body horror monsters. Iczer Two uses her shield to protect them as she unleashes her power to destroy the monsters as Nagisa decides to fight as they engage in a battle with the enemy mecha. The main villain’s ant a new world for her sister as the villain think they’re going to die as her wish is heard by a godlike creature. An anime battle then happens between the two protagonists as the two villains as the mecha fight scene happens. Iczer One is the defeated as the robot with Nagisa in it is destroyed as they end up possibly killing a child. Iczer One then fights back as Nagisa grows as she protects the child as her and Iczer One form a bond. Big gold kills everyone as it is revealed that Iczer One is an android that is fighting to protect earth as Iczar Two fights her and kidnapps Nagisa as Iczer One defeats the robot. It is revealed that big gold is a machine and only her conciseness remains as the aliens attack the human spaceship and destroys it. Iczer 1 gets safety transported inside the mecha as she crashes into the base in her mecha as Nagisa fights her. The monster fights her but and possessed Nagisa breaks free and asks Iczer 1 to shoot her witch she does as she dies but synchronises with Iczer 1. Iczer 2 tries to defeat Iczer 1 but can’t and dies as there is a sadness to this, as Iczer 1 confronts big gold as they fight in a weird over the top anime fight as big gold in defeated. The film ends with Iczer 1 having gained human emotions leaves earth and returns it too how it was. Nagisa wakes up as a normal girl like nothing happened as she bumps into Iczer 1 who is emotional as Nagisa doesn’t recognise her as Iczer 1 leaves earth to go off to her own planet. The cinematography in the film is good. Most of the cinematography in the film is decent as the film has a good use of blue lighting. The film has a good use of both dark blue lighting and light blue lighting. The film also has a cool 80s anime gritty feel and a good use of shadows. As well as this the film has good use of yellow lighting tat looks crazy in some scenes with an epic looking enemy base. The animation in the film is great. The 80s style anime look of the film is brilliant as well as very impressive looking body horror animation. The film has cool body horror anime in an alien and the thing style mixed with sci-fi anime. This horror anime style creates a very distinctive look. There are cool surreal anime backgrounds in the fight scenes, as well as cool imagery of the HR Giger looking ship and the villain in a ball. The subspace in the film has a cool look to it as it feels like a MC Esher drawing also there is cool body horror transformations as the humans becomes aliens. The film has cool over the top mecha design and light effects. The ships have a good sense of scale in the film as well as weird surreal animation with Nagisa in the mecha. The film has cool body horror animation with an alien face hugger type creature showing this, further horror imagery is shown with the floating head of Iczer 2 in a glass jar as well as The Thing style body horror. The film has great monster deign as well as a good use of shadows showing dark gritty animation. The animation shows great over the top mecha anime fight scenes, the film also has cool lighting animation in the energy beam fight scenes and surreal looking villains being a child in a bubble looking like a foetus. The designs of the villains with mecha and body horror is cool, as well as this there is an over-the-top stylised fight scene with big gold. Fight Iczer One is a fun entertaining over the top crazy anime film that any fan of old school anime would love.
