Man vs. Bee is a 2022 British comedy streaming television show created and written by Rowan Atkinson and William Davies and directed by David Kerr. Rowan Atkinson plays Trevor a down-on-his-luck man who finds himself entrenched in a battle with a bee while house sitting a rich couple’s modern mansion. Man vs Bee is a funny slapstick comedy that plays to the strengths of Rowen Akenson’s in delving a silly but never the less hilarious ride.

The direction of the show is good. The film turns the simple act of a man killing a bee into a hilarious but genially intense feeling. The film struggles the lien between being genially actions packed but hilarious at the same time. The style of the show is great the film almost has a silent comedy aspect to it despite it not being a silent comedy. The film relives heavily, and slapstick and physical comedy witch really helps with it’s over the top nature.

The acting in the show is good. Rowen Atkinson is great as Trevor Bingley the house taker. Despite his age he still has a great knack for slapstick comedy and uses it to his advantage within the show. Jing Lusi does a good job as Nina Kolstad-Bergenbatten she plays an over-the-top eccentric rich house owner that is concerned about Trevor being there. Julian Rhind-tutt does a good job as Christian Kolstad-Bergenbatten a posh snoopy rich man that holds a secret that Trevor accidentally uncovers.

The writing in the show is good. The show uses in zany premise to its advantage with slapstick jokes that fits with the over-the-top nature of the series the show could come across as stupid but it’s so obviously over the top its works. As well as this the show gets generally intense at the same time as you really want this person to kill this bee.

The cinematography in the film is good the film uses the camera to make the show feel both funny and dramatic as if everything relies on defeating this bee. The cinematography might not be anything incredible, but it does a good job at making the show feeling action packed and high stakes.

The physical effects are also good the explosions and carnage that happens at the end of the show is a sight to behand the CGI on the bee can look a little off at times, but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment.

Overall Man vs Bede is a great time is you enjoy wacky over the top slapstick fun then this is not be to miss.
